Passionate about educating children
and seeing them develop
Mercy Land is a loving, warm Christian home base for little ones in Vorna Valley, Midrand. We are small on purpose, so every child is known, heard and celebrated.

Our story
Mercy Land Nursery School opened its doors on 20 September 2019. It was started by our principal, Teacher Rachel Mlangeni, with a simple promise to every family: we will treat your child like our own.
We began with an aftercare programme and a small nursery class. As more families trusted us, we grew, and in December 2023 the Lord blessed us with our own home: a spacious house at 19 Candy Street, Vorna Valley, with a big garden where children can run, plant and get happily dirty.
Today Mercy Land is a proudly women-owned school, owned and managed by one family, registered with the Department of Education and approved by the municipality. Our graduates leave for Grade 1 reading, writing, leading and praying, with memories they will keep for life.

What we believe
Genuine development is not only about grades. It shows in confidence, compassion, creativity and collaboration.
Faith first
Every day begins with a Bible story and prayer, and the children recite the Lord's Prayer together. We also share children's Bible films during the week.
Love like family
Our teachers are qualified, passionate and genuinely care. Mercy Land should feel like home, from the warm meals to the fireplace in winter.
Play is enough
Play-based, child-led learning in purposefully designed classrooms. Little ones learn best when they are free to explore and be themselves.
Small classes
Only 6 to 10 children per class, so every child gets individual attention and parents get real daily feedback.
Safe and secure
Uncompromising safety standards, secure premises and live CCTV so you can see your little one's day while you work.
Future leaders
We grow leaders and change agents, with a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, leadership, spirituality and sport.
Our promise to you as a parent
Great, quality education
An age-appropriate curriculum with Jolly Phonics, numbers, art and stories.
Ready for Grade 1
Your child will know how to read and write when they leave us for big school.
Treated like our own
Love, patience and a warm home environment, every single day.
Mentored to lead
Children are encouraged to be leaders, kind friends and change agents.
Memories for life
Birthdays, Christmas parties, Easter egg hunts, Heritage Day, picnics, outings and graduation.
Celebrations and memories
Education should be enriching and enjoyable. These are some of the traditions our Mercy Landers look forward to every year.
Gifts, a party and remembering the birth of our Lord and Saviour.
Caps, gowns and proud families as our class heads off to Grade 1.
Farm days, pony rides, picnics and fun trips outside the classroom.
Traditional dress, egg hunts and birthday parties with friends.
